Spectral Habitat

Spectral Habitat is a duo with vocalist and sound artist Elisa Faires which uses vocals, violin, effects, synthesizers, and field recordings to create psychedelic soundscapes. Rooted in the natural world, our music is also created with the intention to both heal and bring people together.

We have embarked on several US tours and many collaborations with other artists, dancers, and improvisers all over the country. Highlights of 2018 so far have included playing at Big Ears festival and as part of Fuse Factory’s First Fridays experimental music series, and we are very excited to announce that we have finished our first album, Story of a Single Bird. Composed in Northern California, the Pacific Northwest, and in our home mountains of Western North Carolina, in this album we seek to reflect these unique inner and outer landscapes.
